Physical use

Orange segments are used in my tea blends for both taste and function. Their tart yet sweet citrus flavour brings a lightness and sweetness when blended with some of the heavier-tasting roots or earthy-tasting leaves that are included. The primary function of the orange segments in tea is as a diuretic. They work with a cleansing effect, moving fluid and inflammatory metabolites from the body to be excreted as urine, rather than accumulating and stagnating in the body’s tissues.

Traditionally, orange is also said to help balance tissue states by regulating fluid leakage and maintaining hydration in areas that need it. This provides a softening effect on tight or contracted muscles, ligaments, and tendons.

Energetic use

Orange, whether dried, fresh, or as an essential oil, is excellent in times of apathy, when losing interest too soon or before giving something a proper chance. It supports hard work and consistency in willpower, helps alleviate headaches, and boosts energy for adventures and rapid progress, particularly when aligned with your true purpose and current direction.
